Sheranne Isaacs joined the Ministry of Finance on July 1, 2015.
She heads a department that has responsibility for analyzing Development Partners’ initiatives, policies, strategies and operations so as to identify appropriate sources and types of external resources required, consistent with national development priorities as well as assist in the preparation of the National Budget especially in so far as it relates to the Capital Budget.
Ms. Isaacs holds a MSc. Degree in Project Management (Distinction), University of West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and a BSc. Degree in Management (Hons.), University of Guyana and is a Queens College alumnus.
She has worked as an Independent Project Consultant for CARICOM Secretariat, United Nations Development Programme and the Organization of American States.
She has worked extensively with youths particularly as Programme Officer, National AIDS Programme, Turks and Caicos Islands; coordinating the National Drug Demand Reduction Programme within the Ministry of Health, Guyana and as Technical Officer for Voluntary Counseling and Testing for HIV/ AIDS, Ministry of Health, Adolescent and Young Adult Health and Wellness Unit, Guyana among many other such positions.
Ms. Isaacs celebrates her birthday on September 21.
